See which event fits you best!
Grandstand events are held each day in our grandstand to delight and entertain our fair visitors with a wide range of music and entertainment. These events host crowds from the young to the young at heart. In 2015 our attendance at grandstand events reached a total of over 8000 ticket holders. Your investment with a grandstand event can range from $2000 to $6,000. Most grandstands events are co-partnered by two to three businesses but a sole event partnership is also available if you would like. Your package for a grandstand event will feature your business logo on all advertising for that particular event as well as the other items listed in the partner brochure at your investment level.
Wednesday Night Event (June 28)
Mutton Busting is a very entertaining event to watch and for the young kids to participate in. Once the child is seated atop the sheep, the sheep is released and usually starts to run in an attempt to get the child off. The vast majority of children participating in the event fall off in less than 8 seconds. If you’re looking for great family fun entertainment for all ages check out this event!
Thursday Night Event (June 29)
New this year is Mud Hill Racing. This is a form of off-road motorsport in which the goal is to drive a vehicle over a muddy hill the length of the track. Winners are determined by the distance traveled. However, if several vehicles are able to travel the entire length, the time taken to traverse the pit will determine the winner. This will be an event the whole family will enjoy.
Friday Night Concert (June 30)
The Friday evening concert is geared to our country lovin’ rodeo music fans. Over the past years we have hosted such artists as: John Michael Montgomery, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Confederate Railroad. This year we are adding a little excitement to the concert by having bull riding first followed by the Bellamy Brothers in concert.

Is for female youth from ages 16-20 that are involved with the Linn County Fair. We have the candidates in a handful of community activities prior to fair to help with publicizing the upcoming fair. The 2016 Linn County Fair Queen results are revealed on June 22nd and the Fair BBQ Event.
Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair Contest
The Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair Contest is open to boys and girls who have completed Kindergarten through third grade, who reside in Linn County, and have been involved in the fair in some way. Such involvement may include, but is not limited to, clover kids, the Kiddee Tractor Pull, the Kiddee Calf Show, and/or Bucket Bottle Lamb. The responsibilities of winners include representing the fair during fair week by handing out ribbons and awards at various shows as well as participating in various events throughout the following year.
The fair would not be possible without our volunteers. In 2016 the fair volunteers had logged over 7,600 volunteer hours. We appreciate our volunteers and our events couldn’t happen without all of them helping out! All volunteers working 4+ hours receive a “Friend of the Fair” shirt featuring our partners logo.
Gate Admissions Partners
The Linn County Fair takes great pride in offering a free gate to our fair visitors. With the rising cost of fair week we are looking for Admissions partnership to welcome visitors to the fair and help to keep our gate at no cost. Your business will be featured at the front gate on a banner welcoming fair visitors. You are also welcome to have your employees greet guests and hand out company giveaways featuring your logo (pens, hats, koozies, notepads etc).
As the Linn County fair continues to grow, so does the need for parking for fair attendees. To help accommodate this need we have leased the ground west of the front gate to use as a parking lot year round. As our “Parking Partner” your business will be featured as the parking entrance on signage welcoming fair visitors and featuring your company logo.
